Encroachments on government land in rural areas for residential purposes made up to 01.01.2011 are being regularized as per Government Resolution (GR) dated 16 February 2018.
Eligible landless beneficiaries are being provided land free of cost for housing purposes from land owned by various government departments. Additionally, a ‘Land Bank’ concept has been created at the gram panchayat level it is Plan of making land available in various ways. It aims to provide land for house construction to the landless beneficiaries in all rural housing schemes. Through this Land Bank, 15,187 beneficiaries across the state have been allotted land.
Landless eligible beneficiaries are provided land through gift deeds, donation deeds, consent deeds and lease agreements. Also, Financial assistance for land purchase through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds from various social organizations, corporate entities, NGOs, etc.
